Mathematics

The Mathematics Department is a supportive and inclusive learning community where all students are encouraged to grow as confident problem solvers and critical thinkers. We believe every student can succeed in mathematics, and we are committed to meeting students where they are while helping them reach their full potential.

Our courses follow New York State Learning Standards and NYC DOE guidelines, and are designed to connect mathematical concepts to real-life experiences. Through engaging lessons, collaboration, and thoughtful instruction, students learn to persevere, ask questions, and see math as a meaningful and useful part of their everyday lives.

 

Above all, we strive to create a classroom environment where students feel valued, supported, and challenged. The skills students build in our classes will prepare them for future opportunities.
